Importing non-EU brands into Europe?
Under EU Regulation 1223/2009, whoever first places an imported cosmetic on the EU market becomes its Responsible Person — automatically, by law. If the brand hasn't designated one, that responsibility sits with you: Product Information File, safety assessment, CPNP notification and label compliance included.
Entering the EU market from abroad?
No cosmetic product can be legally sold in the EU without a Responsible Person established in Europe and a complete compliance dossier. Products without one can be blocked at customs and removed from the market.

Cosmeply does not act as your Responsible Person: we support you in managing it and handle its registration on the European portal.
